Points that suggest pasteurisation is sufficient to kill/inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus: - Apparently the US FDA has said so: https://www.thebullvine.com/news/pasteurization-inactivates-covid-19/ - The results table from the Lancet article - "The Lancet - Stability of SARS-CoV-2 in different conditions - result tables.pdf" shows that 30 minutes at 56 degrees C is sufficient to render the virus undetectable; this implies that 30-minute pasteurisation at 60 C would also be sufficient. - The first SARS-CoV virus was also inactivated by pasteurisation -- SARS-CoV-2 has different survival characteristics to SARS-CoV, but this at least makes it plausible.
